| Educational Scholarship $600-$1200 |
Who Are We"Seeing the Unseen Potential in You"The Sight Beyond Seeing scholarship fund is a unique academic scholarship that concentrates on the student's family situation and average grades; it is a situational college scholarship. The scholarship targets "C" students who have not historically performed at their fullest academic and intellectual potential due to a disadvantaged home life. The applicant should be serious about pursing a degree of higher education and willing to share their family situation story in an essay. The two letters of recommendations from: teachers, guidance counselors, social workers, church officials, etc., must support the students report of his or her family situation. |

Mission StatementWe see the unseen potential in students labeled as average because of past academic performance. We believe past academic performance should not be the driving factor that excludes "C" students from college scholarship opportunities. We believe that family unit disruptions are directly correlated with the academic performance of some students. We believe that students from disrupted families with average grades deserve an opportunity to demonstrate their seriousness about attending college, and their intellectual capabilities to do well in an academic program of their choice. We believe the Sight Beyond Seeing scholarship fund will motivate the selected student to envision a future beyond what they are presently seeing in their life; given their family circumstances and average grades. We will target a high school "C" student that has overcome some difficult situations in the home life, which have possibly impaired his/hers academic performance. Because of the home situation the student may not otherwise be recognized for scholarship funding beyond what the Sight Beyond Seeingscholarship offers. |
